A single tree can be home to hundreds of species of mammals, insect, fungi, moss, and plants.

Trees help to clean the air we breathe. Through their leaves and bark, they absorb harmful pollutants and release clean oxygen for us to breathe.

Trees play a key role in capturing rainwater and reducing the risk of natural disasters like floods and landslides.

Carbon

Trees help cool the planet by storing harmful greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide into their trunks, branches, and leaves — and releasing oxygen back into the atmosphere.

We calculate the number of trees needed to capture the carbon emissions from your trip within approximately 5 years.

Weeks 1-4

The land is prepared & the seedlings are planted.

Year 5

The forests have become a beneficial habitat for many larger animal species. Each tree continues to capture approximately 22 pounds of carbon dioxide per year.

Year 5-10

The trees continue to grow and each tree consumes on average 22 pounds of carbon dioxide per year

Year 10-30+

The forests continue to provide benefits to the environment well into the future. It's estimated that we will have captured upwards of 10 times that carbon that was initially produced.

Partnership With One Tree Planted

Flygreen has partnered with One Tree Planted, a reputable non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. Their vision is simple: to make it easy for anyone to help the environment by planting trees.

Since 2014, One Tree Planted has planted more than 92.7 million trees in over 80 countries. In 2022 alone, they doubled their 2021 impact, planting over 52 million trees through 327 projects.
